Physics Lab

Physics lab was established in the present site in 1978, initially the lab has very small capacity; only 20 students can do the practical. But in 1986 when Academy was affiliated with the University of Karachi, for the award of B.Sc. degree lab was upgraded to the B.Sc. level. Presently 50 students can be accommodated in the lab. This lab has all the facilities required to do the practical pertaining to the B.Sc. students. The apparatus for the practical approved by the University of Karachi for the B.Sc. degree are available. The lab can easily cover Electromagnetism, Light, Waves, Thermo Dynamics, Modern Physics, and Nuclear Physics for the practical purposes. The lab is being upgraded to the B.Sc. Hons and Masters level within 5 years.

English Lab

• Language laboratory with capacity of 50 places, conducts the English courses for cadets.

• Thee BBC English language courses are conduct prepared by Lingaphone Institute of London.

• One video English course by BBC is also conducted for beginners.

Library

1. The Pakistan Marine Academy Library is well Knitted Library in terms of books, News papers, Periodical  and other audio visual materials.

2. The Library has over 10000 books including text books.

3. The News paper & magazines are also the man attraction for the Cadets and as well  as staff and officers.

4. The Academy also subscribe the magazines like News week, Time, Reader’s Digest, Herald Spider (Computer meg.), Amli Sc. (urdu),  Nabz (Urdu), Akhbare-jehan (Urdu) & Global Sc. The library has also some professional magazine like  MAB, Computer world, etc.

5. The Library is comprising on different portion.. such as, Nautical, Engineering, Academic and as well as general book. It has also a reference section .

6. The library has a cataloguing system too.

7. The Cadets also taking interest in library, they have a library period too in every week.

8. The issuance of book, other materials to cadets, Officers & other staff members very regularly.
