Joined Merchant Navy in May 1982. Qualified as Chied Engineer. Sailed on various Merchant Vessel (general cargo, Passenger bulk and product carriers). Joined PMA in December 2002 as Engineering Instructor. Soon promoted as Officer Incharge Marine Engg. Department.

Qualified Masters in Education & Training in 2008 from the World Maritime University, Malmo, Sweden.

Promoted as Deputy Commandant PMA in 2010.

Took Charge of the Office of Commandant in Dec., 2009.
